Hi, I'm Harri
I have always known that in some way, I want to help people & serve people in my life. I wasn't sure how or what I could do, until the day I sat down and watched David Attenborough's "Extinction" program on the BBC.
I was filled with overwhelming emotions from anger to dread, to worry, to sadness. I expect not unlike the emotions most of you felt who watched it.
That then turned into a determination in my gut & a fire in my belly that I couldn't ignore.
I realize, at nearly 30 years of age, that I am a little late to board the sustainability train. Others have embarked on this journey countless times before me, but I also realize that we are at a turning point in our planets history.
My aim is to document my journey to a plastic free, more sustainable way of living in a supportive non preachy way. I am not here to preach, judge or make anyone feel guilty for their lifestyle choices.
I understand completely that we can only do what we can within our means. But if we all make small changes within our capacity then the impact can be huge.
Through starting my journey I know that the cost can be daunting, the choices overwhelming & overload of information can be all too much to consume.
I am here at almost the very beginning of my journey, with so much to learn. I don't pretend to know all there is to know about sustainable living & climate change. In fact, i'm really stepping out of my comfort zone by putting myself out there online but something in me has to do more & has to help ordinary people, like me, who want to make an individual difference in the world & live in harmony with our beautiful planet rather than on a path to mass extinction.
